FAHR 021.3
Portugal
FAHR 021.3 is a creative studio founded in 2012 by Filipa Frois Almeida (b. 1981) and Hugo Reis (b. 1986).
Both graduated in architecture at the Escola Superior Artística do Porto, their paths were marked by intersections between art and architecture.
Filipa Frois Almeida performed Erasmus at Technische Universität Berlin and worked in architectural offices in Berlin as LWArchitekten and J. MAYER H.
In parallel she studied photography at the Portuguese Institute of Photography and later at Imago Galerie Berlin.
Hugo Reis, still in the architecture course, worked at the Arquitectos Anónimos office from 2008 to 2012. At the same time he completed a set of training courses in the area of ??digital manufacturing in architecture, acquired tools that later led him to integrate in the Berlin-based office. J. MAYER H.
The FAHR 021.3 studio is thus assumed by its founders, in search of an evolutionary identity around experimental processes with a special focus on the intersection between art and architecture in the public space.
Since then, the FAHR duo has stood out nationally and internationally for a set of projects characterized by their formal and provocative approach, such as Hairchitecture, Metamorphosis, Eclipse and NAPPE (2016-19 in Taiwan).
Filipa and Hugo are also founders of the HODOS project, which aims to work in the landscape crossing the boundaries of architectural and artistic intervention, in continuous and open collaboration with other creative studios.
