MARTA LAPEÑA

After finishing her degree in Interior Design at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Marta Lapeña (b. 1993) dedicated herself to painting and researching different techniques, later focusing on the design and development of artistic projects.
Her work is situated between painting and muralism, sometimes materialized in specific projects and others in more experimental proposals. Her work is innately influenced by her daily life experiences, the people she has met, the behaviors she has witnessed and the social issues that concern her, such as rural depopulation, inequality and violence.
Her career includes participation in numerous galleries, art fairs, cultural centers and urban art festivals.
