ENTRELINHAS

EntreLinhas - Urban Art Festival is an initiative of Valongo City Council in partnership with the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, which resulted in a competition with the aim of creating a brand with its own identity in the Gandra area, in Ermesinde , making “Nova Gandra” an attractive and dynamic living area, simultaneously returning public space to residents and visitors.

“Travel” was the theme proposed for this competition, due to the deep connection that Ermesinde and the neighborhood of Gandra have with the railway, had this parish not originated in the place where the Douro and Minho railway routes crossed, inaugurated in 1875.

Mistaker Maker, represented by founder Lara Seixo Rodrigues, was invited to join the jury of this competition and provide support for the production of the painting of the winning proposals.

Completing the initiative, Mistaker Maker took the Portuguese artist Francis.co with it to the Ermesinde Health Center to intervene there, “populating” the building with its houses, inspired by the diverse Portuguese architecture that can be seen on a train journey through the country, making reference to the identity marks of the Ermesinde station.
