THE HOOD BOX

Created to give back to the artists the stage that the pandemic took from them, THE HOOD Box is a cycle of six concerts, with some of the best Portuguese-speaking talents - Acácia Maior ft. Cachupa Psicadélica and Eliana Rosa Oficial, Fado Bicha, GUTA (Cátia Sá), P. S. Lucas, Silly and Tristany - curated by the great Rui Miguel Abreu (Rimas e Batidas), who intended to explore “different nuances of the most modern and creative music ever does in this pandemic present in Portugal".

This event had two fundamental goals: fulfilling THE HOOD's mission, which has proposed since its creation, to be a creative hub and a platform for disseminating local talent; and support a sector — and here we obviously include all audiovisual technicians — in crisis for lack of opportunities, never for lack of capacity, talent or creativity.

The concerts were recorded in one of THE HOOD's containers, under the responsibility of André C. Santos, who created different sets to enhance the intimate character of each performance.

The results, concerts and interviews, were broadcast weekly between the 9th of March and the 15th of April 2021, on the social networks of THE HOOD and also on Antena 3, partner of this action.
