QUADRILÁTERO CULTURAL

Mistaker Maker was invited to join the communication team of the Quadrilátero Cultural project, which aspires to a new look at the cultural and natural heritage of the Municipalities of Barcelos, Braga, Famalicão and Guimarães, through the promotion of cultural actions.

The new graphic identity of the project created by Estúdio Naïf, responds and becomes involved with a communication strategy, which developed together with the Sara Does PR agency, aims to make use of 'artistic tools' in the dissemination and sharing of the several contents and its main mission.

In response to this purpose, we relied on the unique look of the director Mariana Vasconcelos to these 4 cities and each of the locations where the 16 shows that are part of the project happened.

Inspired by the history of the 4 cities, the artist Aheneah selected 4 heritage spaces as a starting point for the narrative of a piece, that traveled through the 4 cities along with the different shows, creating a unique dynamic.

Keeping the project's color palette, she made a careful selection of various shades of wool that would allow her to create a play of light and shadow, with high contrasts and vibrant colors.

It took 13.000 screws to complete the grid where 15km of thread later intertwined, giving rise to this large-scale cross stitch installation. The end result is 4 panels that together reflect the dynamics and roots of the project.
